Governor Babajide Sanwoolu, who disclosed this in Lagos, said following the creation of the Lagos Electricity Market, the state will fulfill its potential as Africa\u2019s model mega city.<\/p>
He commended the Nigerian outgoing President, Mohammadu Buhari for signing the Constitutional Alteration Bill No. 33.<\/p>\n He noted that the assent given to the bill was a historic move that grants the state governments the authority to regulate electricity generation, transmission, and distribution.<\/p> He said: \u201cThe bill will create a Lagos Electricity Market, leading to increased access to electricity, investments, and job opportunities.<\/p>\n \u201cThe new bills will promote efficiency, leading to better service delivery.
