Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has disconnected facilities belonging to the Niger state government for failing to pay current and outstanding <a href=\"https:\/\/pscsolaruk.com\/blog\/the-bright-future-of-solar-energy-in-africa\/\">energy<\/a> bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The company disconnected Government House, House of Assembly, General Hospital in Minna, IBB Specialist Hospital, State Water Board, and the State Secretariat are among the facilities affected by the disconnection.<\/p><div id=\"pscso-810109500\" class=\"pscso-content_2 pscso-entity-placement\"><div class=\"pscso-adlabel\">Advertisements<\/div><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pscsolaruk.com\/rfq\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-509 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pscsolaruk.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/6tp7s.png?resize=710%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"710\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>SaharaReporters gathered that the disconnection was the third time the company disconnected the public infrastructure from public power supply over the inability of the state government to pay light bills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It was learnt that the government reached an agreement with the firm in August to pay its current and outstanding debts.<\/p><div id=\"pscso-1461925823\" class=\"pscso-content-3 pscso-entity-placement\"><div class=\"pscso-adlabel\">Advertisements<\/div><p><a href=\"https:\/\/pscsolaruk.com\/rfq\/\"><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-509 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pscsolaruk.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/6tp7s.png?resize=710%2C200&#038;ssl=1\" alt=\"\" width=\"710\" height=\"200\" \/><\/a><\/p><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Vanguard reports that AEDC first disconnected government facilities on April 20 and it was disconnected for the second time on August 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the time of this report, power supply to all the various offices and departments had not been restored.<\/p><div id=\"pscso-3596804188\" class=\"pscso-cybertron pscso-entity-placement\"><div class=\"pscso-adlabel\">Advertisements<\/div><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\r\nzone = \"30\";\r\npl = \"2226\";\r\nurl = \"https:\/\/cybertronads.com\/platform\";\r\n\/\/--><\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/cybertronads.com\/platform\/show.js\"><\/script>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Officials of the AEDC were reportedly seen with ladders going around the offices to disconnect the power supply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AEDC said the government failed to meet up with its agreement to pay its outstanding debts of over N1.8 billion agreed before the electricity was reconnected in August.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Public Relations Officer of AEDC (Niger Region), Mohammed Adamu, confirmed the disconnection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe development is true, but we are holding a meeting so I cannot give you more details,\u201d he added<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a
