This partnership with TRAILAR fits the bill and I\u2019m glad we are able to work with and support a local firm,&#8221;&nbsp;Abdul Jabbar, deputy leader of Oldham Council and cabinet member for finance and low carbon said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In 2020, Oldham Council&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.solarpowerportal.co.uk\/news\/oldham_council_planning_on_boosting_renewable_consumption_with_900kw_farm\">announced its intention to build a 900kW solar array<\/a>, with the&nbsp;electricity generated from the site to be used to supply the council itself.<\/p><div id=\"pscso-2905988062\" class=\"pscso-cybertron pscso-entity-placement\"><div class=\"pscso-adlabel\">Advertisements<\/div><script type=\"text\/javascript\"><!--\r\nzone = \"30\";\r\npl = \"2226\";\r\nurl = \"https:\/\/cybertronads.com\/platform\";\r\n\/\/--><\/script>\r\n<script type=\"text\/javascript\" src=\"https:\/\/cybertronads.com\/platform\/show.js\"><\/script>\r\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Meanwhile, solar has been linked with the decarbonisation of transport in a number of projects, most notably solar carports for the charging of electric vehicles.
