Scientists have worked out a way to generate energy from nothing but the air around us, and not by using wind turbines.
Researchers at the University of Massachusetts Amherst have developed a device that uses a natural protein to create electricity from humidity and moisture present in the air across the globe. They say the new technology could change the face of renewable energy with the potential to put the brakes on climate change by burning fewer fossil fuels.Read more

If there’s one thing we can look forward to for the renewable future, it’s the concept of cities and vehicles powered by their very own sources. Currently in hot discussion, innovations known as ‘solar skins’ or ‘paint’ may just be the next big thing for both the manufacturing of more sustainable vehicles and buildings.Read more
The global energy-related carbon dioxide emissions stopped growing in 2019 according to a new data released by International Energy Agency (IEA).
The Executive Director of the agency Fatih Birol said after two years of growth, global emissions were unchanged at 33 gigatonnes in 2019 even as the world economy expanded by about 2.9 percent. This, according to expert was primarily due to declining emissions from electricity generation in advanced economies, and the expanding role of renewable sources especially wind and solar.Read more
