At the last Council of Ministers, the Nigerian government gave its authorization for the ratification of the Framework Agreement for the creation of the International Solar Alliance (ASI).
Through this document, the country undertakes, among other things, to harmonize and aggregate the demand for solar energy financing, solar technologies, innovation, research, development, and capacity building. This will make clean and renewable energies accessible, with reliable and affordable solutions.
As a reminder, the ASI Framework Agreement was adopted on November 15, 2016, in Marrakech (Morocco). It aims to ” provide a collective response to the main common obstacles to solar energy deployment at the scale of their needs for solar energy development according to the needs of member states,” recalled the government.
