Egypt has just received $ 30 million in funding for energy efficiency support for private sector companies. These funds were allocated equally by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the French Development Agency.
Funding will be managed internally by the Arab African International Bank (AAIB). It will cover investments in energy-saving technologies such as geothermal heat pumps, efficient irrigation systems, solar panels and thermal insulation to boost Egypt’s green economy.
The allocation of these funds was made within the framework of the sustainable energy financing facilities set up by the country and whose objective is to support sustainable energy projects through local banks.
